To build a sustainable future and leave a positive impact on the lives of our people, the communities in which we operate, and the environment. We constantly strive to become a fully sustainable entity with a goal to safeguard the planet and its resources for the next generation.
In the Future
Strategic Product Development
Use of a more holistic, purpose-led strategy in product development and operations to minimise waste and promote efficient use of resources.
Ensuring all suppliers are ethical, environmentally responsible, and compliant with labour
Develop a workforce where every employee is empowered to champion and achieve sustainable initiatives.
Cultivating a global presence that enables lasting environmental impact through advocacy, partnerships, and large-scale collaborative action.
QNET understands the critical role forests hold in the livelihoods, ecology, culture, and health of communities in which we work. Forests support more than 80% of the world’s land species and protect 75% of our freshwater. They reduce the risk of natural disasters such as floods and landslides and more than 1.6 billion people depend on forests for their income.
The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals identify reforestation and sustainable forest management as key to combating climate change.
Reforestation comes at a price, however. Reverting land into forest can adversely impact food and energy production. QNET is leading a global discussion on responsible and sustainable reforestation and what it means for the communities where we work.
Our Global Forest
In the first phase of QNET’s reforestation initiative, 3000 saplings were planted in Turkey through TEMA and ÇEKUD. A total of 3,000 trees will be planted in Kenya, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates, and each country will receive 1,000 trees. Our goal is to plant at least 10,000 trees by the end of 2022.
“Sustainability is an integral part of QNET’s core values.
Since QNET’s inception, we have been proudly advocating sustainable living at all levels of the organisation to encourage responsible consumption of the earth’s natural resources.
The future is green, but only if we take action to make it so.”
