GREEN LEGACY
QNET understands the critical role forests hold in the livelihoods, ecology, culture, and health of communities in which we work. Forests support more than 80% of the world’s land species and protect 75% of our freshwater. They reduce the risk of natural disasters such as floods and landslides and more than 1.6 billion people depend on forests for their income.
The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals identify reforestation and sustainable forest management as key to combating climate change.
Reforestation comes at a price, however. Reverting land into forest can adversely impact food and energy production. QNET is leading a global discussion on responsible and sustainable reforestation and what it means for the communities where we work.
Our Global Forest
In the first phase of QNET’s reforestation initiative, 3000 saplings were planted in Turkey through TEMA and ÇEKUD. A total of 3,000 trees will be planted in Kenya, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates, and each country will receive 1,000 trees. Our goal is to plant at least 10,000 trees by the end of 2022.

First BCA Accredited High-Rise Office
QNET’s Malaysian office became the first high-rise in the country awarded the prestigious Green Mark Gold award by the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore (BCA). This marks a 20% increase in resource savings, facilitating more efficient energy and water use throughout the office tower.
Banning all single-use plastics
QNET has taken to banning all single-use plastic in offices, events, and conventions to reduce plastic waste. Employees are actively encouraged to reuse plastic components, and recycle bins are readily available on every office floor.
